TODAY'S THEME
1Nephi 14:14 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, beheld the power of the Lamb of God, that it descended upon the saints of the church of the Lamb, and upon the covenant people of the Lord, who were scattered upon all the face of the earth; and they were armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory. Welfare Square, a Place of Hope for the Needy!

As reported in a number of posts in this Blog for the past year or so, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is very ardently involved in assisting people throughout the world, both members of the LDS Church and those who may not be members, when natural disasters strike and often cause vast havoc and suffering among people of all races.

An example of that is reported in my Post 39q. You can click on this link I've just given you to review what the LDS Church did right after the the massive Earthquake damage in Haiti, to help people secure temporary housing.

This Church Continues to assist people in Haiti to recover from their mammoth earth quake disaster. You can view an article in The Deseret News of January 18, 2011 regarding this. Below this photo is the article.

The Article: Haiti Remains a Focus for the LDS Church's Humanitarian Relief Efforts.

Following an 8.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Peru in August 2007, The Church has enabled hundreds of LDS families left homeless by the quake to live in sturdy, seismic resistant homes. Some 349 homes have been completed with materials and guidance provided by the Church including the home of Maria Isabel Quispo, 5, who stands in the doorway.  - Photo: Jason Swensen
Now I invite you to review my post 40n which will allow you to assess the Series of Humanitarian Services provided by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from December 2009 to June 2010.

On February 1, 2011 in my post 42f which will be published early that morning, I will deal with possible questions you readers of this blog may have about how the LDS Church is able to keep up with the large amount of relief efforts in which it is in involved. It will deal with the importance of the support, both financial and personal effort of regular members of this church in these important projects.
