Post 47q: In This Blog Post You Will Have the Opportunity of Studying the October 2013 General Conference Address of Elder Neil L. Anderson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His subject is: Power in the Priesthood. I am sure you will be edified by His Inspired Message.

The Following Blog Description Explains Why My Blog is named: "Four Books of Scripture Testify of Jesus Christ!

Jesus the Christ -by Del Parson

WELCOME, NEW  AND PREVIOUS VIEWERS OF THIS BLOG: In this and in every additional post of this blog you will be led on a carefully and prayerfully planned exciting and inspiring journey as you prepare by means of a guided study of the four sacred books of scripture I am shown holding above; which will assist you in becoming more righteously happy now and more fully prepared for eventual After-Mortality Eternal Endeavors on your part, along with your loved ones and countless other mortals who are seeking to qualify as our Heavenly Father's worthy children.

Those enabling Books of Scripture were brought about through the love of the Heavenly Father of our immortal spirits which now inhabit our mortal bodies; and were a key part of the Restoration of the Gospel, and of the establishment of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, through the Prophet Joseph Smith early in the Nineteenth Century. Leading out in all of this, was of course, Our Heavenly Father's Only Begotten Son who is our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer, Jesus Christ (who initially was our eldest spirit brother and is the only one of us our Heavenly Father will have ever sired into mortality).

Jesus accomplished His Infinite Atonement, the Ultimate Mortal Sacrifice, along with His infallibly witnessed Resurrection. He is our Redeemer and Savior and has opened the way for each of us to learn with certainty through those four books of scripture, and through the inspired teachings of His prophets, seers and revelators of our day and those authorized by them; that some time after our mortal deaths, because of His atonement and resurrection, and depending on the level of individual righteousness we each attain to, through His grace, we can eventually experience Eternal Life in our own resurrected bodies, which in the case of those who fully heeded all of His scriptural guidance and the guidance of His authorized living servants, there will be full possession of Godly capabilities! Prior to my featuring Elder Neil Anderson' October 2013 General Conference Talk I desire that you learn about him:

Now you are given the opportunity of hearing Elder Anderson as he gave his October 2013 General Conference talk:

Now that you have heard Elder Anderson deliver his talk, once again in this continuing series of blog posts, I Neil Birch will assist you in learning directly from the Notes Elder Neil L. Anderson provided us throughout his talk.

1. "Love Is Spoken Here." I, Neil Birch, invite each of you on Elder Anderson's behalf to gather those of your children, if they are nearby to sing for you, under your direct guidance a song from the LDS Children's Songbook, 190-91.

2. This Note was regarding a personal e-mail Elder Anderson received on Aug. 5, 2013. Perhaps because of its personal nature it was not made available to us.

3. Doctrine and Covenants 84:20  Therefore, in the ordinances thereof, the power of godliness is manifest.

4. See Doctrine and Covenants 138:37  That they might carry the message of redemption unto all the dead, unto whom he could not go personally, because of their rebellion and transgression, that they through the ministration of his servants might also hear his words. 51.  These the Lord taught, and gave them power to come forth, after his resurrection from the dead, to enter into his Father’s kingdom, there to be crowned with immortality and eternal life.

5. See Doctrine and Covenants 84:35  And also all they who receive this priesthood receive me, saith the Lord;
and Doctrine and Covenants 109:22 And we ask thee, Holy Father, that thy servants may go forth from this house armed with thy power, and that thy name may be upon them, and thy glory be round about them, and thine angels have charge over them;

6. 1Nephi 11: 16 And he said unto me: Knowest thou the condescension of God?

  17 And I said unto him: I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all        things.
7. 2Nephi 26:33 For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.

8. See:The Family: A Proclamation to the World.

9. Doctrine and Covenants 84:16  And from Enoch to Abel, who was slain by the conspiracy of his brother, who received the priesthood by the commandments of God, by the hand of his father Adam, who was the first man—

10. John 5:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Joseph Smith, the first prophet in this Gospel Dispensation to whom was given the keys of Christ's kingdom.

President Thomas S. Monson Who Presently Holds the Keys of Christ's kingdom.

11. Doctrine and Covenants 27: 13 Unto whom I have committed the keys of my kingdom, and a dispensation of the gospel for the last times; and for the fulness of times, in the which I will gather together in one all things, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth;

12. In a BYU Campus Education Week devotional, Aug. 20, 2013, Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve stated: "Why are men ordained to priesthood offices and not women? President Gordon B. Hinckley explained that it was the Lord, not man, who designated that men in His Church should hold the priesthood" and that it was also the Lord who endowed women with capabilities to round out this great and marvelous organization, which is the Church and kingdom of God." ("Women of the Church," Ensign, Nov. 1996, 70). Elder Neil Anderson then states: "When all is said and done, the Lord has not revealed why he has organized His church as He has."

13.Moroni 10:8 And again, I exhort you, my brethren, that ye deny not the gifts of God, for they are many; and they come from the same God. And there are different ways that these gifts are administered; but it is the same God who worketh all in all; and they are given by the manifestations of the Spirit of God unto men, to profit them.

15. 3 Nephi 30:2 Turn, all ye Gentiles, from your wicked ways; and repent of your evil doings, of your lyings and deceivings, and of your whoredoms, and of your secret abominations, and your idolatries, and of your murders, and your priestcrafts, and your envyings, and your strifes, and from all your wickedness and abominations, and come unto me, and be baptized in my name, that ye may receive a remission of your sins, and be filled with the Holy Ghost, that ye may be numbered with my people who are of the house of Israel.

16.Matthew 6:22: The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

  23. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

17. Matthew 5:28  But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

President Thomas S. Monson said: "Pornography is especially dangerous and addictive. Curious exploration of pornography can become a controlling habit, leading to coarser material and to sexual transgression. Avoid pornography at all costs" ("Preparation Brings Blsessings," Ensign or Liahona, May 2010, 65). "/extremely alarming. . . are the reports of the number of individuals who are utilizing the Internet for evil and degrading purposes, the viewing of pornography being the most prevalent of these purposes. My brothers and sisters, involvement in such will literally destroy the spirit. Be strong. Be clean. Avoid such degrading and destructive types of content at all costs --wherever they may be! I sound this warning to everyone, everywhere" (Until We Meet Again," Ensign or Liahona, May 2009, 113).
   "Avoid any semblance of pornography. It will desensititze the spirit and erode the conscience. We are told in the Doctrine and Covenants, "That which doth not edifry is not of God, and is darkness"(Doctrine and Covenants 50:23} ("Truth to the Faith," Ensign or Liahona, May 2006, 18-19).

21. Hebrews 5:4 4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.

22. Isaiah 55:8  ¶ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

23. Jacob 4:13 Behold, my brethren, he that prophesieth, let him prophesy to the understanding of men; for the Spirit speaketh the truth and lieth not. Wherefore, it speaketh of things as they really are, and of things as they really will be; wherefore, these things are manifested unto us plainly, for the salvation of our souls. But behold, we are not witnesses alone in these things; for God also spake them unto prophets of old.

24. Doctrine and Covenants 81:4 And in doing these things thou wilt do the greatest good unto thy fellow beings, and wilt promote the glory of him who is your Lord.

 5 Wherefore, be faithful; stand in the office which I have appointed unto you; succor the weak, lift up the hands which hang down, and strengthen the feeble knees.

President Gordon B. Hinckley said: "Your obligation is as serious in your sphere of responsibility as is my obligation in my sphere. No calling in this church is all or of little consequence" ("This is the work of the Master," Ensign, May 1995, 71
